I spent all these years trying to be something I am not. Straightening my hair, wearing make-up, battling with my weight on a daily basis, wearing clothes that are trendy, wearing high heels.
Then, you come along after 30 years apart. And what do you say? “I always liked the way you looked in high school.”
In high school I was fat, had curly hair, didn’t wear make-up and dressed in t-shirts and tennis shoes.
And this is why I love you.
